Dolores support structures done
Today I finished weathering and installing the last two Dolores support buildings. The larger is a section house that the RGS had for their train workers to live in. A true "shot gun" house. Basically a series of building-wide rooms front to back. The small building to the left is a coal shed. The RGS would pull a gondola up on the track next to the shed, and a worker would shovel the coal into the small door on the long side at the top. There is a larger people size door on the right end for workers to get a coal scoop full of coal for the section house stove. Notice that the last guy was not particularly neat in shoveling the coal and missed the hole a little.
I also added foliage behind the buildings between the backdrop and the table level. I tried to match the vegetation on the photo with ground foam so that the joint tends to disappear - to at least be less evident.
Next task - build two RGS refrigerator cars so that the Montezuma Fruit Co can ship their product (Anasazi beans) to Durango.
