Winchester College

Son Rob's fiancee, Vicky, was a soloist this evening at a carol concert in Winchester College Chapel. My camera just wasn't up to picturing the choir without a flash, so I took this of a cobbled lane in the rain outside. Imagine a coach and four in the yard, dropping boys off for a new term in the 18th century. Rotten weather on the drive back home.

The choir was conducted and many of the carols were arranged by Bob Chilcott, one of Britain's leading choral composers and conductors. It was great to sing some carols, put me in the Christmas spirit at last.
