All out

This is what I call a proper pub sign: a simple but well-executed likeness, carved into the very fabric of the building - with both a straight bat and good use of apostrophe!

Sadly the pub itself has gone rather the same way as our national team.

However, a new sign went up recently, for 'The Mad Hatter'- so maybe something may rise from its ashes.
