Walking to work

What a beautiful sunrise! It followed me for nearly 30 minutes and in that time, in my mind, I took hundreds of shots. I finally couldn't stand it any longer and got out of the car in Parklands, a neighborhood near the gym, and shot this.

The subject matter is a pretty ordinary shot of a middle-class Nairobi neighborhood. The woman walking towards me is probably a maid who is going to work, the road is in pretty good condition aside from the pothole which was made worse by the pounding rain we experienced over the past few days.

But the colors! Oh, the colors! What a beautiful way to start the day - the day which marks perhaps my last Monday in this office .
