Christmas songs, a glass of sherry for me and two happy children rediscovering those favourite decorations.

C has her school Christmas party on Monday and I decided this morning that maybe a new dress is in order. Her favourite pink dress is looking a bit tired, so rather than trailing her round the shops in the mayhem of Christmas shoppers, we had a trip to my favourite fabric shop to buy an new pattern and some fabric. A far more enjoyable shopping trip and a pleasant evening sewing. One dress hung on her door ready for Monday.
