It's a public holiday ... the day of Reconciliation. It feels like we have already had 10 days of reconciliation. My youngest niece turned 9 and everywhere the shops are over full with tourists and holiday makers. I have to go to work tomorrow, not sure how I'm going to get my head in the right space.

Oh and some interesting things about this little plant: it is used traditionally to treat warts, broken bones and wounds. A stick of the plant is placed in the thatch of huts to ward off lightning.
