Dessert Anyone?

We had our annual Christmas Party for work tonight. It was a little bit of a stressful day at first. I hadn't purchased my gift for my secret person for our secret Santa gift exchange. I also didn't have any transportation to do so, since my car had taken a dive for undrivable at the moment.

My mom was gracious enough to lend me her extra vehicle and melted away all that stress. I don't know what I'd do without that woman, really.

I was lucky enough to find the PERFECT gift, get my beauty on, straighten my hair and make it in time for dinner after work. Everything worked out perfectly as my secret person really loved their gift.

For dinner I had a peppered filet mignon with some seared veggies and garlic potatoes. Omygoodness!! That filet mignon is always great at that restaurant, but this time we had it--well it made me shiver at how delicious it was.

Dessert was this lovely French blackberry cake. Nice and tart, with some delicious cream and whipped topping for sweetness. I couldn't finish it but it was amazing.
