Escape from the rock

We were due to go to Edinburgh yesterday but due to the gales all ferry transport from Lewis or Harris was cancelled and we were stuck. Thankfully we were able to get away early this morning, so we've only missed one of our five nights away. The photograph was taken on another island (Skye), but thankfully Skye has a bridge to the mainland so still only the one ferry from Harris.

It was a fairly miserable drive weather wise, but I just had to pull over when I saw the sun peeping through a break in the clouds contrasting with the dark grey over the mountains.

We're at my brother's in Edinburgh now, tired but glad to be here at last :)
