Setting the routine

So baby S is now almost 6 weeks old and we have started to think about getting some kind of evening routine in place as currently he is just in his moses basket with us in the living room in the evening. As he screams quite a lot in the evenings this has been fairly disruptive all round.

So this evening we gave the wee man a bath and put him to sleep upstairs in our room rather than down with us in the moses basket. Fair play to him, he has only been awake a couple of times and luckily he is sleeping in a fantastic hammock bed/crib which both swings and bounces so its fairly easy to get him settled without having to pick him up. I know its only day 1 of the routine but touch wood/stroke lucky rabbits feet its seems to be going smoothly and we have been able to watch the telly in peace for the first time since he joined us...
