Colorful casts

Claire had surgery on her legs recently, and at our church picnic today her casts caught my attention. They are the most colorful I have ever seen with a beautiful purple bow on one and a pink bow on the other. What a good sport she was to let me interrupt her meal so I could take a picture. Thank you, Claire. You were a great model.

After heavy rain yesterday and a thunderstorm during the night, today dawned grey and chilly, but cleared up beautifully in time for the picnic. We ate lots of good picnic food and polished off the evening with an hour of entertainment by our "homegrown" and very talented bluegrass musicians. What a treat! It has become a tradition at our annual picnic...something I look forward to.
