Hobbit-mania grips New Zealand as The Desolation of Smaug opened this weekend. Saw the film on Saturday night, thought it a big improvement on the first Hobbit movie . Driving south from Nelson and across the island feels like one long tour of backdrops for Tolkein films - hence this capture of some misty mountains. Far from my best effort, but the only shot I took on this day according to the vagaries of international time zones and thus preserving my unbroken run of 300+ blips.
