Old leather overnight bag

Hello my little Mother-Ship, do you remember your old leather overnight bag Harry Wakelin hand made for you when you were 21 years old?

Here it is 63 years on and still going strong. Back when you lived in Remuera the council had inorganic rubbish collections. You happened to be on the phone to me and mentioned you'd just put out stuff for the next days collection, including this bag.

I promptly told you to hold that thought and get back out to the gate and rescue it! I claimed it on my next visit. Your tendency to move things along has been around a while ;-)

I still use it, it's well loved and it will be around for a long time yet.

What can I tell you about my day?

- I'm not doing much in the way of work but no one seems to mind.

- Today's wild life report: my mate the trout I spot in the river near work wasn't to be seen, but the resident rat who runs along the fence outside my window at work is back. I'm not a rat fan and would rather it disappeared and the trout came back.

- I picked fresh strawberries and raspberries from Jayne's place. They were delicious!

- I made plans to fish on the full moon on Thursday night and hopefully Saturday too :-)
