The Promised Tree

Ellen, my apartment-mate, and I have been enjoying this tree since the first week of the month. Like little kids in a candy store, we couldn't wait to put it up once we bought it and all the decorations. The glowing lights and Christmas colors make me smile every evening. And sometimes I turn it on in the morning darkness while I'm getting ready for the day, just because it's pretty.

Next to our Christmas tree is my finished beanbag project. It wasn't planned that way, but I think they go nicely together. Only one, however, will get to stay out all year long. (Although you can be sure, I will prolong putting away the tree as long as possible.)
