Santonio sunset (almost)
I had the worst nights sleep I've had in a long time last night. I was surprised to actually be feeling ok when I got up this morning. I think it was my body clock officially changing.
We had leftover pizza for breakfast and it was off out early doors again. This time we were off to extend our rental car (again). We were hoping to get a better deal since Jill now has a local bank account.
It wasn't to be. We are now sitting at 1500 bucks for 3 weeks car rental!
It was then off to get our grocery shopping. Groceries here aren't that cheap. They are actually about the same price as back home.
The sun came out and it started properly heating up. We decided to walk the walk that I had tried to walk before. This time there was no wild beast standing guard.
It was a nice walk through a pretty affluent housing estate. We actually felt weird about walking through it. I don't think walking is very big here. It's not a walk we will do again anyway as it took us about 40 minutes to get to where we were heading ... Our local brewery!
Freetail brew about a dozen of their own stouts, ales and beers including a specialty green algi beer (which Jill was particularly fond of). We had a few drinks and a great afternoon of relaxing and chatting.
There was some sport on TV and both sets of fans were enjoying the game, with some banter, without it kicking off.
Didn't know that was even possible!
We decided to head home via the 'access road'. It only took about 10 minutes! Along the way however we both felt something touch our legs. I daren't think about what it was (but at the same time I think I heard a baby's rattle : )
Aw who cares we got the full Texan sun setting on our backs!
