1912 X8A Silent Gray Fellow

The next 12 days or so finds me working on the Motorcycle Live show at The NEC Birmingham. I hope to bring a bike photo each day during the duration that I'm here. Not really being into bikes, it's going to be a long few days.

The show is usually all about new, shiny motorcycles and biker gear, but I want to start with this vintage offering from Harley Davidson.

The X8A was single speed with a leather drive belt on an adjustable tensioner. A hand operated exhaust port device enabled silent running through towns, but could be opened up for performance motoring. Hence the name 'Silent Gray Fellow'
