A late bloomer

After an early start to catch the train home after a few days away, I arrived home to find this lovely flower had opened in the porch it has been in bud for weeks and I was beginning to think it would never flower.
It is called Tibouchina or the Glory Bush tree and is a native to Mexico so I had better keep it warm for winter.
