Fir Cones

Tried to buy a Christmas tree after work today, but only place that had any left only had a few weedy but expensive ones . Boys going to look again tomorrow during the day. Got the decorations down from the attic though and put a few things up to brighten up the place. I always put these fir cones out, I picked them worth the boys years ago, I sprayed a few gold and a few silver and left the rest natural. Whenever I get it out it I remember those days when we would go "splashing" in the autumn leaves and foraging for fir cones and chestnuts. Happy memories :)
