Your milk makes me so sleepy, Mommy xxx

We had Eva's last Rhythm Time of the term today, so I dressed her in her little blue Christmassy snowflake outfit and off we went. We all sang Christmas songs such as Jingle Bells and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer to the different activities, and as usual, Eva loved it. She has started becoming really sociable at these groups, and will often try and interact with the babies and their parents sitting either side of us, today she was quite taken with the 1 lady and kept reaching out to her and giving her huge grins, very funny.

Eva was ready for her sleep when we got back. I changed her out of her top as it had a hood on it (she hates sleeping in hoods as they flop over her head and make her agitated) and put her pink cardy on to keep her warm, and took her into our room for some milk. She was out for the count on the bed in no time with milk still round her mouth, so I couldn't resist today's pic, a typical example of the effect Mommy's milk has on her.

We hadn't seen my dad all week as his car had been in the garage, so I rang to ask if he fancied meeting up once Eva was awake. I picked him up about 3 and we went for a coffee at the Cricket Club. I'd packed Eva some toys and sat her on the chair next to me, with my leg up on the chair barricading her in, and she was very happy feeling like a big girl on the big girl's chair, seeing her grandad and playing with her books and toys.

I was going off to a cat show in Swanley all weekend, and Debbie was picking me up about 6 to head off. I was so nervous and on edge about going. First of all leaving Eva was going to be hard enough in itself, but if I knew she wasn't taking a bottle or not settling at night or missing me, those thoughts had really been playing on my mind... She was not fazed in the slightest as I kissed and cuddled her goodbye, and she does kind of understand 'bye bye' now, so that made me feel better. Plus, Mike let me know later on that she downed a bottle no sweat, and was tucked up fast asleep in bed at the normal time. Xxxx
