A special day!

I celebrated my 63rd birthday today. It was also 40 years to the day since hubby and I became engaged. Little did we know then what joys and sorrows we would experience together - the pain of the early years of childlessness, replaced later by the intense love for and from our adopted children, and now their children, our beloved grandchildren. Our many good friends, and extended families have added to the mix. We've been fortunate enough to be in good work and good health for these four decades, and to grow and change together. We're now firmly heading towards grumpy old age interspersed with a smidgen of recycled teenagerhood, like Jack and Victor, still game after all these years!
