I took a long detour on my way to the credit union today and found this steaming pile, which appears to be where all the heat comes from for the whole campus. Best viewed full size.

Ended the evening with a reading by Colum McCann at the Irish ambassador's residence. Not a Ferrero Rocher in sight, but lashings of mini mince pies.

To the avid decoration-watchers, I'm sorry to report that this place is so tastefully decorated for the holidays that it's not even worth blipping--disappointingly well draped garlands and understated wreaths.
