Bohol, Chocolate Hills

Up at 7.30 so we could pack our bags and then get to the chocolate hills. Left our bags at the reception and got a tricycle to ICM bus station. Took a very local bus to Ubay. I was annoyed as I left my pink fan on the counter at the bakery shop. My hair had to go up as the bus was so well airconed...as it had no windows. A lot better than being boiling though. 2 VERY long hours later we arrived at the chocolate hills. Jumped off the bus and took a tricycle to the touristy part. Walked up all the stairs that had been built into one of the many for the view. It was a very nice view but I think it's slightly overrated! We got some good pictures of us from the top that a chinese woman took for us. I jumped onto Morags back for the picture and they all gasped in fright!! We ran back down and took our tricycle back down. As we were buying some dried mango at the side little shop the bus drove past and waited for us as we got our change. Hopped on the bus back to Tagabialran city. Super super cramped this time. I looked huge next to the two tiny/skinny old ladies I was sitting next too. Eventually made it back. The buses are so boring out here as they literally stop for anyone so we are jiggering around constantly. Tricycle back to the hostel. He had no idea where he was going and had to keep asking people. We would have been able to easily direct him from the start as we have gone back and fourth so many times. The tricycle man demanded 500 pesos from us when it is suppose to be 30 pesos! So we paid 30 and walked swiftly to our hostel and sat in the dinning area until he left the reception area. I asked reception what he had said when he had left and they tole me he said nothing and that the drivers try to rip off tourists because they don't know! We defos knew! Sat in out other hostel with internet so we could tell Simmonds what terminal we are arriving at. They all know us well in that hostel now!! It is crazy how many people worked in that hostel. There was 6 of them trying to make us a shake! It is like that in SEA everywhere. They have 3 people for a job when they actually only need one. Took another tricycle to the airport. The airport is so small. It's so funny. Morag didn't even need to show her passport. So relaxed getting everything through. There were 3 small desks for different check ins! We were the only white people as per! Plane arrived in on time and they gave us pop up umbrellas when we arrived in Manila as it was obviously raining! Obviously didn't get to keep them We saw Simmonds outside waiting for us but we had to collect our bags first! Met Simmonds for the first time and his driver took us to his Mum's house. Had a nice evening and a good supper cooked by Marie-Lou. So nice having the hot shower and DUVETS again!
