driftwood

Walked to a corner of the beach I have never been to today, tucked away on the left, it's a quiet spot where the ducks are suspicious of people and couples chat while enjoying the view, without the usual noise and distractions of the main area.

There also lies a lot of driftwood, I am not sure if this is where the council moves it all to or if people just don't take it from here after the lake has risen and fallen. It seems unlikely it's here naturally given the lack of large pieces which dot the shore after storms.

Anyway, it was a beautiful day, you can see some men messing around in the background on a small pier, just to prove it is impossible to get away from people on a day like this, its not even the busy season yet... just wait until next week!
