Toejam Jim Blues

Z's music classes at school have spent this term studying the blues, and the kids were asked to form groups, and then each group had to write and perform a blues number.

The school invited us parents in to hear them in a mini concert. No, that should be a gig, surely.

Z was vocalist in his group, which has no name. Their song they had written was called Toejam Jim and Z's singing was as close to Tom Waits as a twelve year old could possibly get. When the song ended they got a huge round of applause and cheers. They brought the house down.

I got a bit of dust or something in my eyes, made them water really badly.
