Precious petals...(fallen)...

A long but good day - including a fantastic visit to Barrhead where I was privileged to hear some incredibly courageous speeches from young care leavers about their experiences.

After a brilliant train journey back - which turned into a long overdue meeting with another CEO - I had some time to kill before my connection so decided to treat myself to some flowers.

They're gorgeous but I was a bit disappointed that so many of the pale pink rose petals drifted onto the counter as soon as I unwrapped them...though it sparked a memory of my repeated (failed) attempts as a child at making rose perfume!
