Office Christmas party in a couple of days… I expect it will be a relatively subdued and sober affair… That's no criticism of my esteemed colleagues. It's just the nature of the company. But I used to work with a somewhat wilder crew. We were always retiring to local bars to imbibe intoxicating liquors and the Christmas parties were invariably epic booze-fuelled sagas that didn't peter out until the wee smalls.... One year I awoke to find that I had snapped both the stems (ear handles??) of my glasses clean off....another year I discovered a large scratch down my forearm with no recollection of how it got there...
