Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Father and Daughter

Our daughter arrived about 9:30 this morning to spend the weekend here celebrating her dad's birthday. Her husband, John, was scheduled to arrive about 3:00, and he did.

So while we waited for him, the three of us took a long walk south on the sand to Morro Strand State Beach, where there is a public restroom, and turned around to start walking back toward the house again along the sand.

Once we reached the house, the three of us were hungry, so we put the tired-out pups in their crates and we headed toward the pier, where we knew we'd find something for a lite-lunch and we did.

The three of us had just finished sharing two lunch meals and some yummy ice cream, when our son-in-law arrived and he wanted to eat. We didn't tell him we were all full; we just accompanied him to Schooner's, which has a lovely upstairs deck for dining. He ordered a meal and the three of us each enjoyed a beverage.

Then we headed for the house, and they checked into their motel, where they had a room right above the sand and with a great view of the waves and the pier.

The afternoon was getting late and sunset was arriving so they watched from their balcony and we watched from the vantage point of our place.

Later we went to their place and sat on their balcony watching the waves illuminated by the almost full moon. By then it was late, so we put our jackets on to go for a walk. Eventually we decided to stop for a bite to eat and finished off the evening with full tummies.

Then we called it a night!
