"Tinsel"

I have a confession to make: I really dislike tinsel! Go ahead and call me Scrooge, I don’t mind.

I know that for lots of people, it looks pretty -- all sparkly and shiny. I suppose it represents the excitement and joy of the holiday season for some. But to me, it’s just messy and not very attractive, and once it gets into your house, you will never ever get rid of it. You will continue to find strands of the wretched silvery stuff lurking in dark corners and slithering under the couch for the next decade at the very least.

So, for today’s “Tinsel” challenge, I’ve dolled up some Christmas wrapping paper to look all tinselly and glittery. That’s the closest I’m willing to get to tinsel. Bah Humbug! Enjoy.
