First Snow of Winter

This view of Dumgoyne and the Campsie Hills shows the first light dusting of snow that fell in the early daylight hours. The colours in this scene on the 18th November were quite different. Gone are the red and or orange tints of oak and beech. Branches are well and truly bare. Winter has arrived. However for a brief period the sun broke through illuminating the dark woodland.
