Ferry & Refinery

The Isle of Wight ferry cruises up Southampton Water, past Fawley Refinery, at sunrise this morning.

Taken from the very tall and very long Itchen Bridge, with Tamron SP 70-300mm VC lens. Well worth looking at in LARGE.

Caught 6.19 train to Southampton with an idea to capture sunrise over the Docks as well as some Christmas shopping. Walked a fair few miles, to Ocean Village, over the Itchen Bridge and back to Mayflower Park, to watch a huge vast container vessel being tugged in, no doubt laden with Christmas goods made in the Far East.

Bought myself Nike Dart trainers for my mega walks and a snoop around that new Cathedral, West Quay shopping centre, a celebration to that new religion, retail. When it clouded over, returned, downloaded, edited, posted up!

Thanks to all who enjoyed the challenge of my puzzling ghostly room at night yesterday, hoisting it surprisingly high in the spotlights. This is a lot easier on the eye - I will be away from the PC and Blip until later this evening, so will catch up with you lovely lot then!
