Pickled Walnuts.

Finally, after almost 3 weeks from harvesting and piercing the the walnuts, I have today got them all bottled.

With 2 weeks soaking in brine, another 4 days to dry and blacken, I mixed and boiled up the pickling ingredients this morning, and what you see is some of the finished product.

Looking forward to some roast beef or ham and walnut sandwiches in the new year.
