Ahead of the game?
Today was our photo class where we learned about soft proofing, using the history log, opening RAW files as smart objects and more. We also saw a video about Sir Simon Marsden, 1948 - 2012, who specialised in photographs of haunted places. He was an expert in infrared prints.
Needless to say our homework includes producing a print in his style. Our next class is on 2nd Jan, so we'll have to move swiftly to do the homework and take part in Christmas. On my way home I called at the Church of St John Lee near Acomb. There is an overgrown graveyard with gravestones listing at various angles. It's quite atmospheric. I could not complete my homework because I just had a 50mm lens on the camera but I enjoyed working out what I might do.
I think I may have overdone things by walking yesterday and today I'm not 100%. Peely wally enough to miss tonight's party. Hopefully I'll feel better again tomorrow.
