Chilled Herring

Went to explore the Herring Road. When I got out of the car I found the road was rather slippy. Steep ascent to wind farm, a tour round the propellers and then a rocky road descent. But the hard bit was dealing with the untreated road back. Came round a corner to find a lorry hanging over the edge (one wheel in the verge, a few inches from a drop). Had to get off and gingerly walk down the edge of that steep section. As we reached the bottom a gritter arrived behind the lorry then a landrover and a tractor to get it out.
