My Birthday

Today is my birthday and I can't think of a better way to spend it. We were invited by a friend; one of the local BandB managers to breakfast. What a feast that was! So much. Just as well my son was with us as he always has a big appetite and even he could not eat everything and we know that was left goes to the staff so none is wasted. And there was a wonderful cream birthday cake. Unfortunately the custom is for your friend or partner to feed you a piece then smear it on your face! I persuaded Mr A only to do a little of that.

Then we went to a new big Mall that has been built near here. Lulu Mall by a rich Dubai business man. It was strange to see it. Many of the Indians struggled to manage the escalators and most just go and look and spend time just looking as these were! I really don't know if it will be sustainable and I am not sure that I want it to be. It is certainly a source of fascination for now. Something to go and see in the school holidays! But just to look at!

So we headed into Ernakkulam town for lunch (yes even after that breakfast) - Dry Chilli Paneer, Paneer Butter Masala, Rice, Parotha and we even had some Chat ... with a Grape Juice ...

Spending the day with two of my most favourite men in the world (I do have another son but he is in the US now) was a very very special day. I feel blessed.
