Woodland floor

Christmas starts early for us as we'll have all the boys and their girlfriends around for Sunday lunch. That'll be special. In the meantime there's much to do, not least walks in the woods that can be so beguiling when the light is streaming through the trees and the bracken like this. I tried every which way to improve this shot but what I've blipped here is what so excited me when I saw it through the lens. A lot of people, I know, like stuff that's sharp-edged and arranged, thirds etc, but that's not my kind of image. This very much is - a little bit closer in and not the same wood as the one that grabbed me last week. Look up.
