Craft Centre

Today I did a weaving class at a craft village in Luang Prabang. It was a brilliant experience and I came away with a placemat sized weaved piece of silk that I made (almost) myself!

It certainly made me appreciate the amount of back breaking work that goes into the handmade silk scarves. My placemat was only 50 cm long and my back was killing me!

This lady was doing some Batik designing. All the wall hangings they sell at the village are drawn by hand. If I ever come back here I'm going to try this class.
