At Wetherspoons. We'd arranged to meet Lorraine before she went back to France and because it was Christmas we decided to meet in Leytonstone rather than Wanstead, as it's a bigger pub and never seems to get so crowded. And it's just as convenient for both of us. Thursday is a good night to be there with the curry for £6.49 including a pint. And it's not a small portion either

As we were in Leytonstone we invited our other friends Paul and Elaine and Carol to join us and this is Carol just after she had battled through a storm of apparently Biblical proportions. Lightning, thunder, hail and at one point the car was encased in ice. There's always some reason why Carol is late and she always is late ...... sometimes very late!
