One of those days..........
it has been that sort of day.
1. On the way to work saw two creatures in the road, thought they were muntjac deer, then realised it was two black labradors, a man with his own dog was trying to get them out of the road with no joy so I stopped the car in the middle of the road with all lights blazing. I caught one of them by the scruff, he had the other, they were young, about six months old, a local woman came out of the house and thught she knew who they belonged to, ten minutes later I was back on the road, with very stinky hands and a wet leg!
Stopped at Costa for my usual Friday treat and managed to scrub my hands clean.
Work was fairly normal, well as normal as it gets. Left at 16:30 picked up Geoff from home, went to Stortford to get the last food shopping for a while.
2. On the way home phoned my brother as he is going skiing with his wife and son tomorrow for a week. That was ok but they had just heard that their four year old golden retriever has an aggressive terminal cancer. She had a large mass, 20cm/1kg, removed from by her diaphragm last Friday and it was touch and go but she has done really well only to find out that it is going to grow back in the next couple of months. They have good people who are going to look after her for the next week and I am pleased that they are still going away.
Carried on home, unpacked the shopping then
3. Realised my mac and hard drive weren't with me. Quick rewind and realised that I
hadn't picked it up at work so it was sitting on my desk, well that's what I hoped! Phoned security who called back ten minutes later to say they had it, so as it was just under an hours round trip I stopped in Walden to get my blip!
Hopefully the rest of the evening will be uneventful x
