Product III
A fine day of making, organising and labelling. First up was a canvas bucket. First of five so this was the prototype. A bit like a bag for life but circular and collapsible but with a circle of rope at the top to hold the mouth open. A cooked up threat to the kids (and myself) to stop leaving stuff lying around the house. The buckets will hang on pegs in the hallway and anyone can put anyone's stuff in their bucket. Stuff can accumulate in the buckets until Sunday but then they have to be emptied, one way (properly) or another (the bin).
Between that and labelling the 37 bottles of school night beer I finished watching a trashy film and had a wee snooze. The beer's interesting - palatable but intentionally weak. It's the second mash of grains used to make a hoppy beer like Bitter and Twisted. Brewed in exactly the same way but being the second mash, the first had taken most of the sugars so it's got much less alcohol. Very pale and cloudy - presumably because it was dry hopped. Bottled last week but none of the beer is fermenting in the bottle. Presumably too cold in the store so I've brought some into the kitchen to see if that speeds it up. Not the point of explosion I hope.
