Make a wish

Andrew is 7 today. He woke me at 5.50 am and the official present opening started at 6. It was really funny to hear the boys all moaning about being tired because until a few months ago they used to get up at 5.30 most days.

Whilst he was at school, George and I prepared a couple of surprises: an amateurish birthday cake (I always think home-made should look wonky to prove you didn't buy it!) and a fridge magnet message. Just a pity I didn't notice the N had slipped!

You know your kids are growing up when the gift mountains of brightly coloured plastic are replaced by small, electronic gizmos.
