Venus portrait
This gorgeous buckskin jacket was walking to his residential motel room. The jacket covered a day of the dead T-shirt. Under the sleeves, a lot of bracelets. We chatted. His father was Mexican and his mother was Sioux. He carries 20 year old pictures of his kids in his wallet. He showed them to me proudly; he is in touch with his kids and he is employed. Judging by his jewelry and clothing he is proud of all his traditional roots.
This is a torso shot; in the Venus de Milo tradition where beauty was resident even in the absence of head, arms & legs, I often like discombobulated body shots.
If you must, you can see his face and bracelets in Flickr.. Also a couple of pawn rockers with their new guitar.
Thanks for putting yesterdays blip briefly into the spotlight; it did not take long before it was beaten out by the birds, dogs, cats, squirrels and some tall famous guy with a long shadow.
