Must See No.6

Noup Head, Westray.

Struggled to pick out a blip today. SO many pics, white beaches, glittering blue seas, wildlife and a vintage car rally. Westray is a wonderful island and it is well worth the hour and a half ferry trip from Kirkwall to spend some time here. (Or you could fly, only 15minutes or so.)

Eventually settled on this one of the gannetry at Noup Head nature reserve. We were stunned by this place, sheer drama. We only had an hour or so at Noup Head but reckon you could spend days up there. Fantastic bird and plantlife, incredible scenery, a Stevenson Lighthouse and to the West.... Nova Scotia.

Our short, work inspired, weekend has had such a big effect that we've decided to change our Summer Holiday plans. We had intended to go further afield and get to Shetland but that will have to a bit longer. Westray demands our attention.
