2.5 shopping days to Christmas

You probably count higher, but here the shops are shut on Sundays and will shut up for the hollydays lunchtime on 24th. I took my life in my hands this morning by going into town, got there just before 10 (shop opening time) and already the carpark was heaving, but as I didn't have anything specific to shop for I was able to meander about, didn't prevent me from flexing the plastic of course...

Another Christmas party tonight, although I shall be delayed getting there as I have to fetch the teen back from radio training...don't ask, tried really hard to 'encourage' him to find someone there who could drop him at the bus stop but no go, on the other hand this does now mean he has to walk the dog tomorrow as penance!
