Nothing rushes about like a red squirrel

...except, perhaps, a chipmunk. Both were seen today along with one cardinal, a half-dozen starlings, 10 squirrels, and 35 mourning doves. None of our regular bird visitors came today, likely because everything is coated in ice and another ice storm is coming tonight.

Today is also International Rush Day - as in Rush, the prog rock band. Why? Because today is December 21 which can be written as 21/12 which reminds us of one of their greatest and earliest albums, 2112. Rock on!
