Tree of Fame

This unassuming tree is one of my favorite family heirlooms. It is estimated to be about 100 years old and has been in our family for well over 80 of those. It also has famous connections, as the original owner was Richard Dimbleby, father of the brothers Dimbleby of broadcasting fame. My Gran, dad's mum, used to work for the family and was given the tree one year. The reason why is lost to posterity but my dad always puts it up proudly every year and the story is part of the tradition. It's bearing up well. Merry Christmas everyone.
