Cuckoo

Both woke up super super warm today. It is horrible how hot it got. Bought a waterproof case for my phone today. Morag bought one for her camera. Had a nice relaxing day on the beach today. We used our cases in the water. Felt slightly scared that it wouldn’t be waterproof!! The water here is incredible, it is so turquoise. We got some fun pictures or I should say some pretty ugly ones of us both!
After my cold shower today the large lizard and I encountered each other….we had a stare off that went on a little too long before it decided to budge and I could run up to the ‘chalet’. When we finally got ready we went to grab some food at the blue restaurant. We were about to move table so a group of people had space to sit but they asked if we wanted to join them. So we had supper with them. Morag and I shared a noodle dish and a rice dish! We all headed to monkey bar to get a couple of drinks. We sat up at the top of the bamboo hut. Later on there was a reggae band and we sat downstairs dancing and doing the shisha. It was independence day in Malaysia so there were masses of fireworks. Morag and I escaped them and we went to watch the fire show again. There is one guy there that makes it look super cool. The music that they play is really good too. We sat down and we were joined by some local boys! Taught them how to play cuckoo the drinking game, except they were drinking soft drinks. Morag gave one of them alcohol by mistake…not the best because of their religion!! We bumped back into our ‘friends’ again which was slightly awkward. Had a rather late night.
