Muttley's Musings

The Road Home

After a fairly miserable drive up the motorway in the gloom and spray I have finally arrived home.

This is my preferred way into my spiritual home village in Yorkshire, I come up a long straight lane and crest a hill and this view opens out in front of me across the Vale of York. On the left is Steeton Hall with it's medieval gate house, and on the far right is one of the Aire Valley Power Stations at Eggborough. On clear days in the distance you can see the North York Moors with the White Horse at Sutton Bank, and they are often more clearly seen when they have had a dusting of snow on them.

Home at last (and the sun is shining)
