Break in the clouds

Weather has been strange today -- menacingly heavy clouds shedding storms of hailstones, and then periods of brilliant sunshine and blue skies.

The four of us took the dog for a morning walk around the docks. The new development on the old gasworks site is close to being finished now. It's one of the nicest pieces of architecture on the dockside, with a kind of art-deco rounded front to it; something quite nautical about these lines.

And the sun came out and threw it into interesting relief.

Then the sun went back in again, everything went dark, and we got covered in freezing rain.
