Estuary in Winter

At last an opportunity for along walk in the (almost ) dry. A blustery wind chilled the fingers, but with a mainly clear sky and a little late afternoon sunshine, it more than made up for recent days, and boy, did it need to. A lot of debris is swept down by this short, but at times fast flowing river. All the birds that over winter in the marshy bits were probably off scavenging, as I didn't even see one.
