Parkgate marshes

We had lunch out today with friends, overlooking the Parkgate marshes. It used to be sea but over the years the grass has overtaken the area. Recently, the local authority has created some ponds to reintroduce bird life to the area which is lovely.
If you look at the picture 'large' you will see a boat stranded on the marshes in the distance just left of the centre of the picture. This was tossed up from goodness knows where, in the recent storms!

Well, we are off on our travels at 5am. I will try and keep up my blips but may have to back blip some days. I am afraid that I may not be able to make many comments now for a few weeks so please forgive me.
