British Christmas on château d'Arenenberg
Noël! Noël! 2013 is the name of the exhibition ending today. The estate at the border of lake Constance is home to the Napoleon Museum, where the future emperor Napoleon III passed much of his youth in the Swiss exile (you can even see the two small French flags on top of the roof).
Why British Christmas then ? Napoleon III had a close link with England and (if the story is true) it is him that made the Christmas tree popular in France.
Unfortunately taking pictures inside was not allowed.
